Everybody loves a minion, right?! Well, so do I!
Since this mama hobbies on a budget, and Halloween costumes were my task, I set out for yet another awesome family costume idea. Halloween 2014, it had to be Despicable Me!
I made our hats, goggles, the Gru symbols, Gru’s nose / scarf, and even retro-fitted two pairs of outlet toddler overalls, covering up the awful logo design on the lapel with matching upcycled pockets. My overalls were “vintage” Goodwill. Since I got three orders for matching sets (scarf, goggle, and Gru symbol patches), I was able to make all the accessories for a mere $15 extra, after making the orders. Gru's nose was the best part--it was a witch nose I modified and painted with acrylics.
